| CYP introduce HDBaseT solutions offering greater transmission distances and advanced features to the install market |

The team at CYP have announced the launch of two advanced HDMI over CAT 6 solutions, using HDBaseT technology. The new products from the PUMA range promise to deliver new standards of HD distribution for both distance and features. The new PU-1109 transmitter and receiver will distribute uncompressed HDMI, Power over Ethernet (PoE), Ethernet, IR and RS-232 over a single CAT 6 cable up to lengths of 100m. The PU-501 version will offer the same features, but removes the PoE and Ethernet functions as an alternative cost effective solution for installation scenarios where these features are not commonly used. Kevin Cray, Technical Director at CYP Europe explains the benefits, ‘These new HDBaseT CAT 6 solutions offer a significant breakthrough for the industry. For a long time now installers have been seeking the holy grail of 10Gbps distribution and its availability will allow much greater flexibility and performance on complicated home and commercial installations. The ability to now distribute PoE, IR and RS-232 control over greater distances will really help installers work in scenarios and areas of a home that were previously not thought possible’.
